How to adjust several SQL scripts in crystal report ?

Hi,

I wanted to adjust several sql scripts in the main crystal report without using subreports inorder to get data from an Oracle database version 8.17.

I am using add command in order to add my scripts.
I am using Oracle OLE provider in order to connect the oracle database.

I am using crystal report version 9.

Suppose there are four SQL scripts, I wanted that data from several columns of each SQL scripts should be display on separate detail section or separate page in a main crystal report without using subreports.

How should we do that?

I dont think this is possible without subreports. Why do you want to do this without subreports?

How to add summary functions in group footers for report with no database field

Hi,

I use a crystal report that does not have any database fields, only formula fields. I already know how to add a group with the addgroup method, but need to know how are summary fields added?

I need to add a sub total for a money field in each group that has to show at bottom of each group but am unsure as to how this is done. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Again, I don't use any database field and so CR does not allow me to physically add a group section and paste any formulas. It seems this needs to be done by code.

I'm desperate!

U need database fiels in crystal report, it is very important, without having any data what r u gonna show in your report.

Field on which u want to summarize,

In your report detail section, right click the desired field and "Insert" > "Summary". Select "count" and place it in group footer

U will have various options as maximum , minimum, count , Mode etc, select according to your report requirements.

How to add row number in cryatl report 10?

Hi all,
I am working in crystal report 10. In the report i need to add row numbers in each page starting from 1.
Eg: Page1 row1
row 2
row 3 ..
Page 2 row 1
row 2
row 3 etc..

Colud anyone pls suggest how this can be done? very urgent...

You initialize a vairiable in the Header Section, Increment it in the Details section, Show/Print it in the Footer section

I am new to crystal and i am working on Crystal 9

How do i add columns to the table referenced in the connection of the report..

Let me make it clear.Assume that i have a table with 10 columns and i had created the report by connecting to the DB and run the report...

Now i add another 3 columns to that table and i need to have these 3 columns also in the report..Since we dont have option of editing SQL Query in Crystal 9

Can any one tell me whether is there any option such that when ever there are changes in the table they get reflected automatically to the report i mean when i open the report and click on the table can i see 13 columns instead of 10 and if not then how do i acheive that with out deleting the previous connection bcos there are lots of fileds refred in the report using the first 10 columns..

What are all the controls(dll or ocx) to be added in VB application components & reference for import Crystal Reports 9 into VB 6 Application.

I already add Crystal Reports controls in Project components & also Reference.

But still I can't add Crystal Report into my VB 6 Project.

After add these controls we can directly add crystal report from Project Menu (like Add Crystal Report).

Is it true or not?

If it is true there is no more option to add Crystal Report in Project Menu.

- Raja|||either you i havent understood exactly what you are trying to ask,
but if no,
then you can just add .rpt file of the Crystal Reports,like this..
right click Project in solution Explorer, Add->File-> and just choose your .rpt file. VB6 will attatch the .rpt file as .dsr file.and you can directly use its relative path,by creating instance of that .dsr file.thats it.|||Tq for reply.

I already add .rpt file into my VB project. But it is saved as in module(Not in .dsr file).

Is any other crystal controls needed to add in VB Project?

I can try to Reinstall Crystl Reports 9 & add controls into VB Project again.

Still I can't find out any other controls related to Crystal Report Designer or Viewer in my VB tool box controls.

What I need to change for add Crystal Reports 9 into my VB project?

How to add an SQL to report?

I am using Crystal Reports 9.0.

I would like to link to tables together with fields "unitID" and "PropUnit"

I links the fields but when I add more then one field to the report the data disappears in the preview.

I looked at Crystals sample report. It uses a SQL statement.

How do I add an SQL statement if that's what I need to get this to work.

Ciao, i'm using Crystal Report 6 and I have a formula field which must show the currentdate + 12 months, i.e.: today is 16/11/2004, i need 16/10/2004.
Could you help me?

alternative is :
formula = dateAdd("m", 12, CurrentDate)

you can do add and subtract arithmetic on dates using DateAdd.
1st paremeter = either "d", "m", or "y",
2nd parameter is amount you want to inbcrement or decrement by,
last parameter is date you want to use as basis of calculations

How to access the area beyond the margin?

Hi! I'm new to Crystal Reports but have some projects due very soon!

When I export data from People Soft Query to Crystal, some fields get pushed out to the unworkable area beyond the right margin (beyond the ruler of the Design tab). I cannot select/move/remove these items.

How do I access this "gray" area?

Data is still being retrieved for these fields, so I need to find a way to move or remove them. (Trying to avoid rebuilding all of my new reports!)

I faced the same problem.. yeah, there are some data in the gray area which i couldnt touch at all.. n yet i try to set it up to landscape in printer properties, but still there are some data missing...
